What is Philosophy?

Philosophical thinking is careful and rational.  It encourages you to think independently and freely instead of just following the crowd.

Philosophy is about distinguishing between good and poor approaches and aims through sharp and creative consideration to find the truth rather than winning arguments.

You might not think you are a philosopher but if you are interested in ideas and have a questioning attitude to life you probably are.

Philosophy helps give structure to your ideas and probe more deeply into the big questions.
